Top Driver is an approved Illinois Secretary of State Driver Remedial Course provider.

As a condition for reinstatement of your driver’s license or permit following a suspension is your participation in an approved Graduate to Safety Driver Remedial Education Course. Drivers between the ages of 15 and 24 who have received 2 violations within 24 months, or who received a violation under the Zero Tolerance Law and received a suspension of their driver’s license, are required by the State of Illinois to complete the Driver Remedial Education course.

After you receive a ticket for a traffic violation, you will be mailed a courtesy notice from the California Court letting you know if you’re eligible for California traffic school. You must plead guilty to the violation, pay all court fees & elect to Enroll in TVS.

Top Driver offers adult training programs starting at $49 with the 6-hour online driving course. For pricing details on behind the wheel lessons and road test services, please call us at 1 (800) 374-8373.

To be eligible for in-car training, students must be at least 18 years old and have a valid instruction permit or driver’s license. Students from out of country may drive on their home license for up to 90 days after entering the country.

If you do not have a permit, we recommend taking our 6-hour online course to prepare for the Written Permit Exam at the Secretary of State’s office.

No, adults (18+) in Illinois are not required to take driving lessons to get a license. While it is highly recommended for safety and skill development, it’s not a legal mandate for licensing at that age.
